Herrington Foundation Repairs, LLC provides several different repair techniques based on your specific needs. Each problem is different; no two are the same. If you should have any questions regarding my procedures, please feel free to contact me anytime.

Did you know that your foundation may require a different method of repair than your neighbor next door?? Each problem is different and you need a seasoned professional to evaluate the cause of the problem and anticipate future movement…if any.

I have personally passed the "International Code Council" (ICC) test, which enables me to obtain licencing in any state in the union. Many local cities require this to obtain repair permits. Epoxy injection

Pressure injection of a rigid 2 part material that returns the concrete wall back to its original structural integrity. By filling the entire thickness of the crack, this process will keep water from penetrating through the crack. This is not a structural repair.

Flexible urethane foam injection

Pressure injection of a flexible expanding urethane foam that will fill the entire thickness of the crack and allow the wall to flex naturally and still keep water from penetrating through the crack. The material used is a “hydrophilic” resin material. This means that the resin will actually seek water within the “pores” of the concrete and create a strong elastic “closed cell” foam bond. The material is actually activated with water and in some cases can be injected as the crack is leaking.

High strength “I” beam steel restraints

Vertical interior wall restraints will hold the foundation wall from further inward deflection. In some cases the wall requires to be pushed back if inward movement is severe. These high strength steel restraints can be installed against solid concrete walls, block walls and stone walls. Don’t be fooled by fancy alternatives from other companies like earth anchors or carbon fiber strips.

Steel Piers

Steel pipe piers are installed to bedrock or load bearing stratum to support against further settlement. Our equipment is rated to 10,000 PSI which provides optimal power and force for the pier installation. Raising of the structure is also an option, but not always recommended.

Maintenance Tip

Always keep your gutters/down spouts clean and working properly and add downspout extensions. Keep covers on your window wells to eliminate debris and reduce water entry. Provide an adequate grade slope around your foundation of at least 1” of drop per foot for at least 6 to 10 feet out. Water adjacent to the foundation in dry months with the use of a soaker hose 18 to 24 inches from the foundation wall. If a gap occurs between the dirt and wall, chop it with a shovel and step it down tight.

I provide warranties for all repairs that I perform for you. If there is a problem with the work that I complete under warranty, I will respond to that problem in a timely manner. That’s my personal promise to you.
